About a month ago -- on May 5 to be specific -- a warning to view with skepticism reports on the health and earnings of the nation's big banks was posted on this site under the heading Cooking the Books . . . with Government Approval.
Anyone doubting the accuracy of that warning would do well to note this article in today's Wall Street Journal which confirms the astute and informed prescience of this blog.
