It All Depends On Where You Sit

Social Security:

Congress is not allowing any increases in the Social Security COLA (cost of living adjustment).

However, the per person monthly Medicare insurance premium increased from $96.40 in 2009 to $104.20 in 2010 and $120.20 in 2011, and will increase annually to a wonderful $247.00 in 2014.

Congress:

At the same time, the disgusting dishonorables in the House of Reprehensibles and the United States Sty have given themselves $3,000 a month each in Cost of Living Adjustments.
