Although Mr. Obama's use of a vulgar term to describe his election opponent would excuse sinking to his uncivil level, I will resist the temptation to do so.
Instead, I will just describe the offal that the American electorate, meeting H. L. Mencken's expectations, has deposited in the oval office as a scheming and lying narcissistic sack of the material one normally tries to scrape from one's shoe after stepping into it.
