The Incredible Shrinking Dollar

In 1920, an American $20 bill, a 20-dollar gold piece, and a good quality man's suit all were of equal value. Any one of them could be exchanged for either of the other two.

A 20-dollar gold piece today still will buy a fine man's suit.

The $20 bill won't cover the cost of having the suit cleaned and pressed.

Think about it.
