Nothing Surprising About Abundance or Distribution of Ignorance

Anyone who has watched the long standing tolerance that Americans have exhibited for the pervasive mismanagement of the country's finances will not be surprised by this confirmation that our citizens by and large are ignorant of the most basic economic realities.

Equally unsurprising is the finding that those who identified themselves as being progressive or very liberal were the most economically ignorant. Self identified liberals ranked a bit less ignorant of the dismal science's simplest fundamentals. Moderates ranked a bit better, with greater knowledge being exhibited by conservatives,  and very conservatives and libertarians ranking as the least ignorant of basic economic facts.
