Is This a Great Country or What?

The received wisdom of the clowns running the governmental show appears to be that the collapse of the economy as a result of general and widespread over leveraging can best be dealt with by spending even more money that we not only don't have but that doesn't even exist -- just print more dollar and go even deeper into debt in an effort to kick the problem into the future to be dealt with by future generations. This appears to be the "me first, last, and always" ethic of the "I want it all now" generation.

New national slogan for our time: "When in trouble or in doubt, run in circles and spend, scream and spend and borrow, and shout and spend and borrow and print."

And while we're at it, let's rename all of D.C.'s athletic teams the Washington Wastrels.
