The Disdain Our 'Leaders' Have for Us

This weekend brought two wonder pieces that clearly show the contempt in which American citizens outside the power structure are held by those who inhabit and thrive within it.

First, there is this piece by the estimable Mark Steyn pointing out how unfounded charges of racism are hurled and used in efforts to keep everyone toeing the line prescribed by the Democan and Republicrat aristocraps.

And then there is this one by the admirably clear headed and unfailingly lucid Peggy Noon on the increasingly dangerous gulf between our rulers and those of us whom they purport and are endeavoring to rule.
