Explaining the D.C. Earthquake

Various theories have been offered for the 5.9 temblor that shook the seat of our federal government during the past week. Here are a few of the better ones:

*  The Weather Channel says the East Coast earthquake was caused by an unknown fault line running under D.C. and through Virginia. It is now being called Obama's Fault, though Obama is claiming it's really Bush's Fault.

The USGS has determined that the epicenter of the East Coast earthquake was in a graveyard just outside the beltway.  It appears to have been caused by the Founding Fathers rolling over in their graves.

*  Another theory is that what was believed to have been an earthquake actually were the effects of a $14.6 trillion check bouncing in Washington.
