The government has promised to send a tax rebate check to each of us. The idea is for us to spend the money and thus stimulate the economy, which is faltering largely because the government has siphoned so much money -- a lot more than it's giving back -- out of us through the Internal Revenue Code.
Now, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart, almost all of it will go to China. If we spend it on computers, most of it will go to Korea or India . If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs. None of these expenditures will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America . . . and the only way to do that will be to spend it to drink beer or gamble, or on prostitution. These seem to be the only businesses remaining in the U.S. that are still owned and operated by Americans.
